<image:caption>Meet Henry, our Co-Founder, Director of Farm Relations and the secret sauce for Farm2People! Some may recognize him as "Hank" from @hankandbeanla, a LA-based hospitality and R&D studio specializing in nourishing and climate-friendly consumer packaged goods. Born in Germany, Henry's culinary journey took him through various regions in Europe and Asia, forging powerful bonds between farmers and the world of gastronomy. After moving to the U.S., his deep connection and knowledge within the farm and food community grew even stronger and he now brings that same passion and expertise to his role at Farm2People. Serving as F2P's VP of the board and Director of Programs, Henry is the go-to guy for anything farm-related— communication, equipment, transportation— you name it! He plays a crucial role in making sure farmers have all the support they need to succeed. When asked about his favorite produce, Henry mentioned tree and bush fruit, appreciating their aesthetic beauty and their nutritional qualities, considering them a truly giving product— a perfect reflection of his own giving nature</image:caption>

<image:caption>The Three Sisters planting method, an indigenous practice known as companion planting, involves growing corn, beans, and squash together in a mutually beneficial arrangement. Here, cornstalks provide support for beans to climb toward the warm sunlight, while beans enrich the soil with nitrogen. The squash vines cover the ground, shading it with their broad leaves to keep the soil cool and moist. Together, each plant contributes to the overall health of the ecosystem, making this a truly regenerative practice. While spring is the ideal time to plant the three sisters from seed, early July is a good time for transplanting before the harvest season. Just be sure to check your bioregion’s growing practices before planting Quote reads: “Together these plants—corn, beans, and squash— feed the people, feed the land, and feed our imaginations, telling us how we might live.” –Robin Wall Kimmerer, “Braiding Sweetgrass” Photo credit, with permission: @theecologycenter </image:caption>
