Farm2People Receives $10,000 Grant from Clif Family Foundation

Our work at Farm2People is inspired by extraordinary resilience and compassion. We’re celebrating the support of the Clif Family Foundation in approving our $10,000 small grant application!

Among the hundreds of applications they received, Farm2People stood out to offer social and environmental change.

“The pandemic has unmasked the need to improve food access and reduce food insecurity,” said foundation communications manager Terry Sue Mock. “The Clif Family Foundation applauds the work of dozens of farming non-profit grant recipients across the country, like Farm2People, stepping up to fill a safety net need to provide produce and reach historically underserved and marginalized communities.”

This funding will drive our next harvest moves in the region. Because of our commitment to pay regenerative-practicing, small- and mid-sized farms a fair market price for their produce, finding funding is very important. We make the impact that real dollars allow us to make. Plus, we are 100% volunteer run, so 100% of funds raised go towards our mission

The Clif Family Foundation was started in 2006 by Gary Erickson and Kit Crawford, founder and co-owners of Clif Bar & Company. Their foundation supports small-to-mid-size grassroots groups committed to strengthening our food system, advancing equitable community health outcomes and protecting the environment.

Thank you Clif Family Foundation for your support! We are so grateful for this meaningful commitment! Major kudos goes to Kelly Emery, who leads our grants and fundraising efforts, for identifying and working on our application! Join us in celebrating!

If you want to support us, please spread the word! If you’re a local business looking to make a positive impact on your community, please consider becoming a Farm2People partner today! All donations are tax deductible.
